we kinda love eachother. like, a lot.

I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day.
Flowers are overpriced and restaurants are overcrowded.
This is definitely a year of first's.
Valentine's Day seemed so much more meaningful this year and I think it's because it was our 1st Valentine's Day as husband and wife.
***
Bryan bought his 1st ever "wife" card. It was sitting on my nightstand in the morning alongside a gigantic Hershey Kiss
I used my heart shaped cookie sheet for the 1st time
We made a stop at the MAC and Lancome counters before we headed off to a yummy lunch in South Charlotte
Cyros Sushi and Sake Bar
simple and festive table decor at the restaurant
One of our favorite things to do is go on family walks and hikes. We go daily when the weather's nice. It was 70 degrees on Valentine's Day so we took Cali on a nice long walk. She had just had a bath, so no venturing off into the woods.. we stayed on the path behind where we live and walked around the pond and thru Birkdale.
My love made a fancy dinner from scratch And he typed out the most adorable dinner menu at "Kaitlyn's Cafe" featuring:
Spinach Salad with Strawberry Vinaigrette
Chilean Sea Bass in a Teriyaki Glaze
Baked Sweet Potatoes & Asparagus
Chocolate Chip covered Cannoli's & Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
Blush Champagne
Bry set a romantic atmosphere. We ate to candlelight and even used our placemats we bought while in the Domincan Republic.
I love "us" and here's a reason why: we drink $10 champagne out of $200 champagne flutes
I can't think of a better way to end the night then to be sitting on the couch with Bryan and Cali while devouring one of these bad boys and watching 2 hours of The Bachelor
Lets be honest, everyday is not Valentine's Day.
When I hear people say that, I want to call them out on their bs.
Real life gets in the way and we aren't always romantic, nor do we always go out of our way for one another.
We get busy, bored and moody.
We're human.
Not everyday is Valentine's Day.
I prefer reality to la-la land.
I love my husband everyday and I really appreciate how much thought and love went into this day for me!

Maybe the best part is that you watched the Bachelor together... if I remember correctly Michelle was extra crazy that night.
