baby registry must haves

Since being pregnant, I have loved reading what other mom's registered for and what items they use regularly, so I figured I'd do a baby registry post also!

***

Update:
It has been 9 months since I published this post and my son is now 6 months old. I own, use and love every single one of the below products! I've added several more products to the original list that I posted, based on knowledge that I've acquired since becoming a mom. And best yet - If you don't want to fork out the dough on some of these items, peruse your local craiglist for some great deals!

Mom's One Line a Day: A Five-Year Memory Book

Firefly, Linking Crab, Lots of Links

Baby Einstein Musical Jumper
This product has been recalled by the manufacturer due to a problem with the sun. We removed the sun very easily and feel comfortable moving forward with this jumper. Use at your own risk.

  1. We have almost all the same stuff especially the bouncer and swing. Same brand and everything and they're lifesavers.
A couple of other things I would suggest getting is the Mommy Hook for your stroller. It allows you to hook your purse or shopping bags onto the stroller instead of having to carry them or stuff them in the underneath part.
Also, the Nose Frida. People freak out when I tell them that but OMG we use it every single day!
They don't sell it at BRU or BBB. I ordered off Diapers.com worth every penny.

  3. We have that bouncer and I registered for that swing too! I wish they made them in adult sizes, ha! Don't they just look too comfy!?

  4. That Sophie giraffe is everywhere, Moms love her :)!

  5. Those are all great registry items! If I can make 1 suggestion it would be to change the fisher price play puppy for the leap frog Scout! We thought the FP puppy was kind of creepy (the voice) and Scout can be personalized for your little guy.

We LOVE the thermometer, we have the same one and let me just say it's been a HUGE lifesaver, you don't have to try to get a temp from a squirmy baby under the arm/tongue and it really works. We had the snuza and it sent off too many false alarms so we didn't use it, but a lot of our friends LOVED it. Sophie is our favorite teether, our son dropped it at the top of the Hollywood sign while we were hiking...longest two days to get a new one. :)

  11. Great picks! Especially the bouncy chair, swing and swaddle me. We have many of the same things. The bouncer was my only freedom in the first months when I was home alone. I was able to use it when I showered, cooked dinner, etc. Amazing list!

  12. As a mom of a 5 month old baby boy, I can tell you that you picked some great items! We use the aden and anais blankets nonstop because he likes to pull his blankets over his head. Thankfully, those are breathable! As for the swing, it has been a lifesaver. He loves to nap in it. And of course, the diaper genie is a must have. We have two- one for each floor.
