When we're on the road I'm constantly asking my local staff "Where do you think I'm from?"
I'm always curious to what part of the country I represent.
I generally get west coast somewhere, but when they find out California... Orange County...... my staff goes nuts and asks Bryan and I a bazillion questions about the area.
We instantly become Gods, haha!
And the conversation always turns to "Laguna Beach" *that MTV show*, which is just so funny to us!
When Bry and I were in Italy this past summer we were walking through this big outdoor market in Florence.
I was hell-bent on buying Italian scarves for myself and for our mom's.
I walked from booth to booth. Up and down. Back and forth...
While walking down an isle with my focus on the beautiful scarf patterns and colors, I hear a booth owner yell out "Hey California" in a thick Italian accent.
I flung my head around to see who he was talking to.
Bryan and I bust out laughing when he looked dead at me and said "Hey California, take me back to Hollywood with you!"
I hadn't spoken a word, so I could have been from anywhere in this great big world. When I told him that I was from California, near Hollywood, he said "I know." BaaHahaha!!!
And every time I passed by this man, he yelled "California" and made a scene!
All the way over in Florence, Italy my look apparently screams California... southern California, at that.
I wouldn't want to be from anywhere else.
My upbringing and surrounding area shaped everything about me... even my appearance.
Living in the south, I've noticed that these people are so proud to be southerns.
I find that I too am proud, proud to be a California girl thru and thru!
