Holy moly...

So I wrote this post about a month ago, but was too much of a chicken to post it.
I'm a firm believer in releasing "stuff" into the universe.
It's healthier for me to put "it" out there rather than hold "it" in.
"It" being anything.
Due to fear, I have held this in because I was/am scared to release it into the universe.
I'm afraid it's not going to happen...
But today is the day I conquer this fear and release "it" into the universe and hope for the best!
We are pre-approved.
For a loan.
In a neighborhood we LOVE and is a 1/4 mile from Lake Norman.
To build the house of our dreams in an established neighborhood on our desired lot... ahhem, Lot 262 please!
Although we've been working with a realtor for over 6 months now,
I didn't expect for this to happen and I really didn't expect for it to happen so soon.
My genius of a husband, on the other hand, knew this was going to happen.
He knew we'd find a house early this year, but he didn't know we'd be building our dream home.
I have so much anxiety over this.
Anxiety and Excitement.
At this point, more anxiety than excitement.
20% down is scary stuff!
And being pre-approved is kind of a joke.
I want final approval.
Until final approval, I don't really believe it's happening.
I feel like such an adult :)

  2. Aww congrats!! I can remember when we purchased our first house and we were freaking out and then with our second and current house, we doubled our mortgage and tripled our space and I am not sure which one was more overwhelming, but soooo exciting!! Hopefully things run smoothly for you!!!

  3. Congratulations! That's huge! I am always afraid to put stuff like that out there, in fear of 'jinxing' it... I know, it's silly!

  7. Congrats! The whole building process is crazy and stressful, but it will all be worth it once you get the keys in your hand!
