our first christmas in north carolina

Welcome to our 2011 Christmas celebration!

The day was filled with good food, friends and family. God has been so good to Bryan and I over the past year, which made it that much more special to be celebrating His sons birthday in our new home!

First thing's first... mimosa's!

Applying his favorite gift - a new license plate frame from his alma mater

Brand new gingerbread man toy destroyed in less than 10 minutes

My mom's annual hearty Christmas breakfast which includes yummy kielbasa

Bryan's parents sent us a beautiful boutique of tulips. The snowman doubled as an ornament and is now hung on our tree. And that striped vase? I can't wait to use it every year!

All dressed up in new clothes!

Our friends, who we hadn't seen since August, stopped by to catch up. Allyson's due any day now... I can't wait to hold their little lady!

Bryan carved his first turkey... I think he has a new job on holidays!

Merry Christmas!

  5. Your pooch is presh! Our doggy likes to tear up toys like that too.
Ugh.. I repair them by tossing the stuffing in the trash and sewing the toy up with dental floss.
    He still plays with them!

  8. You guys are lucky you can have those types of covers around your license plates, in Arizona, it's illegal to have the state word at the top concealed by the cover...So it makes it extra hard to buy a vanity cover since most drop down and cover the name of the state! :*

  18. Found your blog today and I love it! I lived in Charlotte about 2 years ago and I am planning a move back in February because of all the reasons you love it! I too am from the West Coast. I could sum it up the same way you did in a past entry of yours. I haven't decided if I want to be North or South of Charlotte this time, I know the Southern area more. We shall see. :)
