nc music factory: vbgb & the fillmore

A couple of weekends ago we went out with friends to the NC Music Factory (ala where Emily and Arie had their 1st date, the Gloriana live concert). Every picture below portrays a girl having a blast, but don't be fooled... I was faking it! Yes, I love hanging out with friends and had a great time in Uptown. But no, I just don't like the nightlife anymore. Bryan has never liked the bar scene and I think this night proved that I've finally caught up with him!

I loved getting to spend time with friends, but I'm pretty sure drinking overpriced Jack and Diets* and staying out in Uptown til 1:00am won't be in our future. I mean, we are in our 30's and can't hang like we could just a mere couple years ago :)

* I evened out my $9.00 Jack and Diets with $1.50 PBR's. Classy

  1. I feel the same way.. Is it just something about turning 30? I'm over the party-all-night lifestyle.

  2. ha! im totally laughing because that is so us. when we go out with friends we are exhausted by 10p and we usually just get 1 or 2 at max drinks because they are so damn pricey.
btw love the new photo of you on the top left :) super cute!!

  3. I'm only 25 and already feel this way, lol. I can't stay out late anymore, and our idea of a wild night is having friends over for wine and game night! ;)

  4. Wait till you have kids....they still wake up at 5:30am no matter how late you stay out :) I hear ya though sister..our late night outs maybe happen once or twice a year - haha! Hence the reason we bought ourselves a kegerator and party at home!

  6. Well it certainly looks like y'all had fun! :) I'm with you on the whole going out thing. We are sadly in bed most weekend nights by 10:30 pm. I'd rather have on jammies for my exciting weekend plans, than "going out" clothes. :) At least you had some fun with the gals.

  7. I've never really been that into the bar/club scene, I'm such a homebody but the times that I've gone, I kinda wish we would go home and play Scrabble or something. haha. I tell ya, when the 30's hit, things definitely change!

  8. lol you are too funny! You look gorg as usual! I really do not like the music factory & I am soooo sick of the epicenter! I am still single and 25 so I guess I should go out while I still enjoy it but over the charlotte scene! LOL!

  9. We aren't into the bar scene either. Never really were to be honest.
When I lived Uptown/Elizabeth we would go to Jacks on a regular basis but that's about it.
    We enjoy house parties!

  10. I think I felt this way when I was in my mid twenties. I don't know what it is, but I think the bar scene just gets old and I rather feel alive the next day.

  13. I'm only 25 and my desire for nightlife has faded dramatically since I left NY. And heck, even when I was in NY, I was one of the gals in my group that partied the least!
