contemporary pattern in a traditional space

Over the past year I've been wishy-washy about what to do with the large window in my family room.

We had planation shutters put into the majority of the windows in our home.

I didn't want to cover the large window in my family room with plantation shutters though.
I love looking out it into our backyard and beyond... Covering it would be a shame.
So earlier this summer we had this window tinted.
The tint cuts out glare, protects furniture/flooring from fading and has mildy improved our energy expenses.

And now, after a year of thought, I finally decided on a window treatment - curtains!

These nuetral ikat curtains give our family room the sense of cohesion that it lacked and a pop of a contemportary pattern that this traditional space needed.
