1 month

 1 month as of May 6, 2015
Weight: 10.6 lbs.
Length: 22 inches

Clothes: Landon wore Trace's 5-8lb clothes for about a day and then he was in newborn clothes. By the time he was 1 month old he is out of newborn clothes and into 0-3 month clothes. Chunky monkey indeed!

Health: He's as perfect as perfect can be

Diet: We bounced somewhere between 2-3 oz of formula per feeding on demand for Landon's first month. At his 4 week appt we got a little scolded by his ped (in a sarcastic way) and were told that he should be eating closer to 3-4 oz every 3-4 hours. Noted and adjusted :)

Sleep:  Sleep? What's sleep??? We don't get much of that in our house, haha!! The first few weeks at home Landon was napping whenever he wanted in his swing in the family room and slept throughout the night in 45min-1.5hr increments. It was awful! As he approached 1 month old he started sleeping in 2 hour stretches at night and that was heavenly, but his pediatrician wasn't thrilled with that and told us he should be sleeping in 4 hour stretches at night. We have some work to do, and thanks to Moms on Call, are getting there...

Baby Gear Love: Rock n Play, double monitor playmat

Likes: pacifier, eating, tooting, rock n play, laying on his back, being swaddled, car seat, car rides, bath time, warm water

Dislikes: bassinet, pack n play, swing, bouncing, sun in eyes (oops!)

Crying:
Landon isn't a big crier, and when he does, it's completely manageable and for obvious reasons

Milestones: car ride, walk in the stroller, bath, babysitters, outtings to Nanny and Papa's, gone to lunch 3 times, gone to dinner once, has been to both Target and Walmart, gripping our finger/hand/hair/shirts

Social/Visitors: Lucky for us, the visitors keep coming and coming. My lovely MOPS girls set up a meal train for us for the first month we home, so we had meals delivered every other day by them, as well as several meals from my friends and mom. Lots and lots of visitors and we have loved every second of it!

Postpartum: My recovery this time is 100% different than it was after recovering from having Trace. Trace was born in an emergency c section after I had labored for over 24hrs and pushed for 1hr. Landon, on the other hand, was born via scheduled c section, so neither he nor I endured any trauma. I firmly believe this, combined with the superfood I ate throughout my entire pregnancy, is what helped me recover in record speed. Mentally and emotionally, I felt really good immediately. Physically? It took a couple of weeks. That's it! At this point I have no pain at my incision line, but I am very numb. I feel great walking up the stairs, picking Trace up and being on my feet for extended periods of time. I'm trying not to push myself, as I don't want to get an incision hernia, but it's hard because I feel so incredibly good!
