diy - gold vase

I have had this boring white vase for years and every time I put flowers in it I'm a little let down. It just always seemed to be too white and didn't match my taste very well. I had a can of gold glitter spray paint sitting in my garage that I had used to paint Trace's Elvis glasses gold for Halloween. I simply sprayed several coats onto the vase -- waited 1 hour in between coats -- and ended up with a gorgeous gold vase that looks like it's straight out of a Pottery Barn magazine!

I love the finished look and am currently searching for more things to paint glitter gold!

Total cost: $15.00
and there's plenty of spray paint left to use on future projects

Random, but isn't this little guy just the cutest?

  6. ooh...I love it! I have gold & silver spray paint and I can't stop spray painting everything! My husband is ready to kill me with all the new gold and silver things around the house. Every time we finish a bottle of wine...it gets sprayed and filled with flowers. I would go crazy with glitter!

  10. That vase looks awesome! I've always shied away from spray painting things with a "glossy" finish like that (afraid the paint wouldn't stick?!), but this turned out great!
