5 flights in 4 days - my whirlwind week of non-stop travel

My past several days have been a complete whirlwind.
It's seriously been nuts... in a good way!
I was on 5 flights in 4 days and literally worked everyday in the scorching heat.
I hardly slept, never turned to caffeine and somehow kept my energy level high.
Although there wasn't much time for fun, I thankfully worked with my good friend, Jeremiah, so we laughed our whole way through and even squeezed in 2 dinners at the beach.
I'm definitely not impressed with east coast beaches (sorry), but wouldn't pass up a meal with an ocean view for anything!

I left Bryan for 4 days and this is what I came home to. We had discussed moving this tree and my resounding answer was "no, you'll kill it"... Well, he did what he wanted and uprooted it while I was gone. Now I have a tree in a spot I didn't want it in and a gaping hole that looks like a missile crashed into my backyard. Oh, and it looks like it's dying, but Bry swears it'll come back to life. Uh huh. I think I'm going to kill him! My mom told me to get used to it... he's a man and this will happen the rest of my life.

Today I'm working in Charlotte for the first time since I've moved here.
Kinda strange... since I've lived here for over 2 years, right?
I'm so happy to have woken up in my own bed, gone to work like a normal person... And the cherry on top? I get to sleep in my own bed tonight too!
It's the little things...

  1. You make me tired just reading this! You seriously amaze me with all the traveling you do!

  2. Wow that's a lot of traveling!

  3. awesome photos and travels! xo

  4. holy busy schedule! and no caffeine? I need caffeine just to function in my normal/boring life. That's pretty darn impressive Kate.

Well, you could always put a sandpit in the backyard for beach volleyball... don't need grass for that lol

  5. i need to know how you plan your outfits and manage to look so gorg all the time?! I feel like that would be so hard to figure out what to pack when traveling so much! no doubt all my stuff would be wrinkled!

  6. You are one busy gal! Early flights (very early) and late flights, and a full day of work in between -- when do you breathe?!

So glad you are working in Charlotte today ... the stars aligned!

  7. Time to buy another tree so he can make it up to you!

Your job always looks amazing :)

  8. The tree thing would seriously have annoyed the h-ll out of me! I think Brad has learned in the past 2 1/2 years not pull something like that!
    Glad you're home! Rest up!

  9. I know a guy who could maybe help you once he is no longer a cripple :)

  10. awesome! I bet you'll be ready to catch up and relax soon though!! :) I want your job!!! haha I'm going to be hunting for cool jobs when I graduate in May and will have to for sure pull up your advice email!!!! :) Have a good week!

  11. What a whirlwind!!! Oh men will do stuff like that forever hahah:)

  12. Too funny! I always fly with a reusable water bottle too! It's a must for us travel mavens ;)

Curious to hear about your new job in Charlotte! Can't wait to see you in a week! xo

  13. Wow! That is a cray schedule! I know you are glad to be back home!

  14. Glad you tried Waterman's in Virginia Beach (it's one of the best)! Nothing beats enjoying an orange crush with an ocean view! I took from friend from Alexandria, VA there this past weekend!
